Considering your interest in core Civil Engineering. it is better you pursue your Post graduation rather than immediate rushing for JOb, unless you have financial problems.

You can pursue MS Research in civil engineering from any of IIT or can apply for Project Assistant/ JRF in various CSIR labs like CRRI/CBRI/AMPRI etc if you want to pursue your career in research or if you want to continue with theoretical study like M.Tech in any civil specialisation like Structure/ transportation/ geotechnical then focus on your GATE Score. 

For any engineer in India ,good  GATE Score can get you fulfill your dreams in civil engineering ,or else without GATE/ ESE , making your career in any private limited at monthly salary of 20000-25000 is just wastage of your time.
