Hi Behlah,
Please find my review of your resume below:
About Me
Your first sentence is great and provides most of the quick "hard facts" about yourself, as well as what your goal is.
Your second sentence is a little bit redundant.
I think you can remove the third sentence entirely. Find ways on your resume to show the attributes in this sentence, rather than saying them.
Work Experience
I think this is your most important section. It is good that you have some previous work experience. I would dedicate more space to this section and explain exactly what you did there. What were your responsibilities? Are there ways to illustrate those attributes from the 3rd sentence of your About Me section?
Education and Training
Nothing to add – unless you have a very high GPA that you wish to show off.
Language Skills
This could take up one line instead of two. Not an issue right now but its space that you could allocate when you talk more about your work experience.
Digital Skills
This section seems to take up more space than is needed. I see that you have listed certain programs such as Microsoft Word multiple times. In the engineering field, it is generally assumed that you are proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite. If you are a power-user and are very proficient with Excel macros or VBA scripting, that would be good to specify. Otherwise, you could leave it off your resume entirely or just say "Microsoft Office Suite". Also, I believe the word "beginner" is mis-spelled.
Honors and Awards
I would remove "This recognition reflects my
dedication, innovative spirit, research caliber, and proficiency in visually communicating complex engineering concepts." And instead replace it with a description of the project that you were presenting. This is another example of where it is better to show off your attributes, rather than state that you have them.
Projects
This seems like a useful section – if these are work-related projects, move them to your Work Experience section. If they are academic, I might consider moving them to be just beneath your Education section. Consider explaining more about these projects if you have the space to do so.
Final notes –
1. Overall, the structure of your resume is very organized and easy to read.
2. If you are applying to jobs in the USA, consider removing personal information such as birth, nationality, gender. These things could actually end up disqualifying you from opportunities where a company wants to avoid any claims of bias.
3. Further simplify – just keep one of your two phone numbers on the resume, not both.
