Mr. Montilla is an award-winning Civil Engineer with a passion for sustainable innovation in the construction industry. With national and international awards, Mr. Montilla has demonstrated a commitment to reshaping the built environment through sustainability, resilience, and innovative design.
Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (MSCE) at Virginia Tech, Mr. Montilla specializes in Construction Engineering and Management within the prestigious Vecellio Construction Engineering and Management Program (VCEMP). His research focuses on using system dynamics to model disaster recovery, analyzing critical infrastructure interdependencies, and developing data-driven policies that prioritize equitable recovery.
Mr. Montilla’s academic journey began at ESPOL, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) degree. During his time there, he distinguished himself as a leader, serving as Vice President of ESPOL's Faculty of Geosciences Engineering Student Association (AEFICT). His roles in teaching, research, and student leadership provided him with a strong foundation in technical excellence, collaboration, and mentorship.
In 2025, Mr. Montilla will join Allan Myers as a Field Engineer, where he looks forward to applying his knowledge to projects that create tangible community impact.
