Description

Please join us this month to hear from Tom Palko from Metro Water Services (MWS) and Barry Moran from the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) on the history of the Cumberland River and the need for rising the base flood elevation.

Tom will tell us about the history and importance of the Cumberland River and the impacts it has had on middle Tennessee and the Nashville Area. Barry will dive deeper in the more technical reasoning behind the Cumberland River and what USACE has been discussing with MWS to ensure both parties work together smoothly. Tom will round out the meeting by informing us of next steps with MWS and USACE and how MWS will handle the changes to the new flood data provided from USACE.

The July Branch Meeting will be held on Tuesday July 22nd from 11:30am-1pm at the Brentwood Library, Registration closes on Monday July 21st.
