The presentation emphasizes that today’s decisions will affect communities, the environment, and infrastructure performance into the next millennium.

The presentation details ASCE’s vision for a sustainable future through ethics, policy, standards, and practical tools. It covers the updated code of ethics, sustainability policy statements, ASCE’s Pathways to Resilient Communities toolkit, and the ASCE/CI 73-23 Standard Practice for Sustainable Infrastructure. The presentation also highlights the need to modernize aging infrastructure, apply current climate science, and expand sustainability efforts internationally.
