Description

Join us on an epic camping trip to the Channel Islands National Park. We are limited to 15 tickets at this time.

What the trip includes:

  • Ferry ticket
  • Sea Cave Kayak Tour (2.5 hours) on Sunday, August 24
  • Food (group meals), kitchen utensils
    • If you have any food sensitivities, please email us after registering.
  • Water
  • We have made a campsite reservation at a group site.

Attendees will be required to bring their own:

  • Sleeping bag(s)
  • Sturdy shoes and warm clothes for the cool evenings that can occur year-round.
    Hat, Sunscreen and long-sleeved shirt for UV protection.
  • Flashlight or lantern
  • Gear that meets the Island Packers Restrictions/Guidelines – NO Single Item weighing more than 45 LBS

Overnight Parking

If you are leaving a car in the Ventura Harbor or Oxnard Harbor parking lot while at the islands, you must park in the long-term parking area and have a parking permit visible on your car. The Ventura Harbor charges a fee of $10 per night for parking (not included in ticket price).

Schedule

  • Sunday, August 23
    • 1:00pm Check-in
    • 2:00pm Boat departure - if you miss this, you will miss the entire event.
  • Monday, August 24
    • Sea Cave Kayak Tour, led by Santa Barbara Adventure Company
  • Tuesday, August 25
    • 3:30pm Departure from Scorpion Cove (return to Ventura Harbor)

Conditions

  • No refunds.
  • Please do NOT be late to 1:00pm check-in time on Sunday.
  • No campfires are permitted in Channel Islands National Park.
  • Please note that you should expect ZERO cell service availability.
  • This trip is weather permitting. Changes and/or cancellations may be made at any time.
  • Additional waivers will be required by Santa Barbara Adventure Company to participate in Kayak Tour.
  • In purchasing a ticket, you agree to the following as a participant:
    • Participation in this event is strictly voluntary. Participants are fully responsible for their own conduct, well-being, and safety including, but not limited to, determining my level of fitness to take part in any such event or activity.
    • Participant is fully aware of the risks inherent in their participation in and preparation for the event, which may include but are not limited to injuries or loss caused by physical activity; use of tools, equipment, or machinery; hazardous weather, land, water, environmental, or structural conditions; actions of themselves or other participants; slips, falls, collisions, or any other accident; hazards associated with wildlife, insects, bacteria, or infectious disease; or any other risk or danger. 
    • In consideration of my participation this event, to the fullest extent permitted by law: I, a participant, hereby release the American Society of Civil Engineers and their respective employees, officers, affiliates, agents or representatives (hereafter, “Released Parties”), from, and waive any and all claims which I may have against them at any time with respect to, liability arising from property damage or personal injury, including without limitation permanent disability, paralysis, or loss of life, which I may suffer or incur in participating in or traveling to or from the Competition(s).
    • I, a participant, consent to medical treatment in the event of injury, accident and/or illness during the event, but I understand that the Released Parties undertake no obligation to do so and I hereby waive, release, and covenant not to sue Released Parties from any and all losses relating to deciding to seek, or not seek, medical treatment. I understand and agree that I will accept responsibility for any medical bills, including co-payments and deductibles.
    • I understand and agree that I am releasing to the maximum extent permitted by law any right to make any claim, now or in the future, for damages or any other relief against a Released Party even if the claim arises from an injury or damage caused, or alleged to have been caused, by the negligence of such Released Party.
    • In the event that while participating in this activity I cause harm to another person or another person’s property, I accept sole responsibility for my actions.
    • I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THESE CONDITIONS AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. BY CLICKING THE BOX BELOW, I SIGNIFY THAT I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY, A PROMISE NOT TO SUE, AND A CONTRACT BETWEEN ME AND THE RELEASED PARTIES.
