Description

Join ASCE Buffalo Section and Buffalo Association of Professional Geologists (BAPG) for our annual joint meeting! This event will feature a presentation describing the failure and restoration of the shoreline at the historic DL&W station along the Buffalo River. The presentation will touch upon:
  • The history of the facility site and how this created unique conditions for the failure
  • The temporary stabilization and forensic analysis of the shoreline after the collapse
  • The challenges and constraints associated with permanent restoration
  • The various stakeholders and coordination required to complete this project
