Join us for an exclusive tour of VT ASCE’s newest Project of the Year, BETA Technologies Manufacturing and Assembly Facility, led by Stantec. Located adjacent to the Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport, this state-of-the-art facility represents a significant milestone in sustainable aviation and innovative manufacturing.

Explore the 188,500-square-foot high-bay facility designed to support the production of BETA’s first all-electric aircraft, ALIA. The facility includes aircraft manufacture and assembly space, office space, and support areas. Discover how the site was transformed from a 40-acre brownfield into a nearly net-zero building, utilizing renewable energy sources such as a planned 2.2-acre solar array and 257 geothermal wells. Learn about the innovative construction methodologies employed, including the use of a high-performance exterior building envelope, ultra-lightweight foamed glass aggregate for insulation, and a proprietary truss system supporting the facility’s clear span.
