Description

Event Description:

Rinker Materials, a QUIKRETE Company, is the nation’s largest manufacturer of concrete pipe, box culvert, precast, and related products. This tour of Rinker’s Bonner Springs Plant will provide attendees the opportunity to learn about reinforced concrete pipe and precast reinforced concrete box, while seeing firsthand how these products are made. The tour will also include an overview of the plant’s quality control processes, a discussion on joint types, and strength testing.

PPE:

Please plan to bring your own PPE if you are able. Long pants, closed-toed shoes (safety toe preferred), hardhats, high-vis vests and safety glasses are required to be worn during the tour. Rinker has a limited number of hardhats, vests, and safety glasses available on hand for those who need them.

Parking:

Park in the lot to the right after entering the gate. Meet at the plant office (small office building west of the gate and parking lot).
