Presidents and Governors Forum (PGF) on Sunday and Monday, September 17 and 18, 2017. We will be holding the event at ASCE World Headquarters in Reston Virginia. Attendees will have an opportunity to visit our home base and meet with ASCE staff.  The Leader Orientation Weekend will also be held in conjunction with the PGF providing an additional opportunity to interact with Society Officers and hear President-elect Swallow discuss her future agenda.

The purpose of the Presidents and Governors Forum (PGF) is to provide a venue for current Section, Branch and Region leaders to gain the knowledge to effectively and efficiently run their local units.  This workshop provides a summary of Best Practices presented by Section and Branch leaders. The program will also include discussions on how to successfully lead your Section or Branch, and how to effectively utilize Region Governors.  The PGF provides an excellent opportunity for networking with your ASCE peers.

Many Sections, Branches, and Regions plan their budgets at this time of year. There is a subsidy for one attendee from each Section and Branch in the amount of $135.00. We realize this will not cover your airfare or total expenses, but it will hopefully help defray some of your costs. If you are unable to attend, or will be leaving your leadership position before the event, please pass this information to your successors so they don't miss out on this opportunity.

Please consider this a pre-announcement as additional details will be forthcoming in the months ahead.  We wanted to ensure you or your successor had this information for planning, budgeting, and transitioning purposes.  If you have any questions, please contact Nancy Berson at [email protected] or at 703-295-6010.

We look forward to seeing you in Reston this fall.
