Duluth Section of ASCE January Luncheon

MnDOT and LHB will present on the London Road project. This $25M project of Hwy 61 (London Road) through Duluth will include roundabouts at 26th Ave E and 40th Ave E, enhanced intersection improvements, lane configuration modifications, new pedestrian amenities and ADA upgrades, drainage improvements, and pavement resurfacing.

Tom Lamb, PE (MN) served as MnDOT’s project manager for the London Road/Hwy 61 Project in Duluth, MN, where he led planning, engineering coordination, and community engagement efforts. Tom is a Professional Engineer with over 40 years of diversified engineering experience in building and highway project management and environmental consulting. After graduating from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities, he spent his professional career working in the Minneapolis and Milwaukee area before joining MnDOT District 1 in 2020.

Matt Settergren, PE (MN) served as the consultant design team project manager for the London Road/Hwy 61 Project that supported MnDOT by providing preliminary and final design services, environmental documentation and public engagement support. With over 16 years of experience in the transportation industry, Matt has led the design of various multi-faceted and award-winning projects across the Upper Midwest. After graduating from the University of North Dakota, he spent time in his professional career working across North Dakota and the Twin Cities, before moving back to the Twin-Ports in 2018.
