This presentation explores innovative strategies and technologies to enhance traffic monitoring across Washington, DC. It highlights the integration of advanced sensors, real-time data analytics, and intelligent transportation systems to improve mobility and safety.

 

About the Speaker

Skye Guo

DDOT ITS Specialist 

Skye Guo is an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Specialist at the District Department of Transportation (DDOT), with seven years of experience in digital infrastructure research. She leads DDOT’s Traffic Monitoring Program and advances Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) for 24/7 Traffic Management Center operations and Vehicle-to-Everything initiatives. Skye represents DDOT in ASSHTO Committee on Transportation System Operations (CTSO), the Eastern Transportation Coalition, Metropolitan Area Transportation Operations Coordination (MATOC), and the FMCSA Innovative Technology Deployment program. Nationally, she serves on the TRB Traffic Monitoring Committee and ITE’s TSMO Council and Women in ITE Program Committee.
