2024 Geo-Institute Flood Recovery and Mitigation Planning Meeting

Please join us on October 15th for the 2024 VT ASCE Geo-Institute meeting at the Partridge Pub at Norwich University. The meeting will consist of a panel and open discussion on flood recovery and mitigation planning in VT. Registration includes a bar-b-que style dinner and 2 PDHs. A cash bar will be available. Panelists include:

  • Ken Allard, PE, ECI - Project Manager
  • Jacob Wimet, PE, GEODesign - Principal Engineer
  • Andrea Wright, Vermont Agency of Transportation - Environmental Policy Manager
  • Benjamin DeJong, Ph.D., Vermont Geological Survey - Director 
  • Douglas Farnham, Vermont State Recovery Office - Chief Recovery Officer

Agenda:

5:00 – 5:30         Arrival/ social hour

5:30                    Buffet-style dinner

6:00 – 7:00         Opening focus slides from the panel

7:00 – 8:00         Open forum discussion of flooding-related topics & dessert

8:30                    Final remarks and adjournment
