The Birmingham Branch of ASCE is hosting the 2017 Winter Meeting of the Alabama Section on Thursday, March 2, 2017. Join us at Barber Motorsports Park located at 6030 Barber Motorsports Parkway in Birmingham, AL 35094, for a day of educational presentations on a range of professional and technical topics in a unique setting.  Participants can receive up to 5.5 PDHs and will have an opportunity to tour the Barber Motorsports Museum and participate in Hot Laps at the Porsche Driving School in the afternoon at the conclusion of the meeting. Please note that we are limiting the number of Hot Laps available to the first 60 paid registrants that signup to participate. If you are interested in participating in the Hot Laps offering, please make sure you check the box for Hot Laps signup under “Additional Items” during registration.

The Alabama Section Board of Directors will be on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 6:00 p.m at the Hampton Inn Birmingham/Leeds located at 310 Rex Lake Road, Leeds, AL 35094.

Meeting Agenda

This promises to be an exciting day at a great venue. The program includes discussion on a number of topics including major ALDOT projects, erosion control best practices, QBS update, the expanding use of drone technology, and dam safety. Breakfast and registration kick off at 7:15 am. Lunch will be provided. Don’t miss this great opportunity to get PDH credits and support ASCE.
