Luncheon Presentation: Technology and Infrastructure
The presentation will by Alyssa Rodriguez from City of Henderson.
Alyssa Rodriguez currently serves as the Director of Information Technology for the City of Henderson, Nevada and is responsible for the City’s technology infrastructure, applications, and assets.
Alyssa started at Henderson in 2008 as a project engineer and progressed to roles as the City Traffic Engineer and the Assistant Director of Public works. Recent work in transportation technology and a passion for smart cities led to the transfer to information technology. Her background includes a wide variety of transportation engineering and planning projects including traffic impact studies, traffic signal design, maintenance management and asset management systems, and fleet management. Prior to joining the City, Alyssa worked as a consultant with Orth-Rodgers and Associates and as a research assistant with the Western Transportation Institute.
Following many years of volunteer activity, Alyssa was elected as the 2021 International President of ITE, a society for transportation professionals. A proud MSU Bobcat, Alyssa received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from MSU and volunteered with the Alumni Foundation
