The new tool vs sticking with Constant Contact

I had a few thoughts on this while watching the trainings:

    • Overall, I am confident that a move to a tool like this will improve member experience and increase renewal (most notably from increased brand recognition and regulated touch point timing). Here's why:
      • Having a common look and feel (e.g., standard theme settings) across all ASCE related email is always a good thing for brand recognition! And a better experience for our members & other customers.
      • Regions can collaborate & share, but there may be a potential for a fellow Regional user (with the appropriate permissions) to still inadvertently alter another user's content (email template, custom list, etc) that would need to be thought through, as was mentioned on the most recent training.
      • Regulating the timing and frequency of communications will result in everyone seeing better engagement results and members receiving a better experience. But it will definitely take some getting used to from the user perspective. I know my team will need to rethink how we plan and schedule our Section communications.

For anyone who chooses to stay with CC (this would need to confirm this with Constant Contact support), I do believe if a subsidiary stays with Constant Contact, you'll likely want to switch your account to an independent paid account before Society switches so you don't loose your data.

I'm sure I'll have a few more thoughts along the way. Will post them here for everyone's consideration and discussion.
