My SSC team has tried on numerous occasions throughout the competition year to login, and have been unsuccessful each time.

Hello! My SSC team has been trying to register a device with a license this past week, and we were unable to, likely due to the limited number of licenses. So, unfortunately, we have been unable to begin working with SketchUp at all. How can we ensure that our team gets a license? Should we wait until February 9th to try to obtain a license again? Thank you!

Hi all, we received word from Trimble that we reached the license cap! #PopularProblems . However, "the math ain't mathing" because we got more licenses than there are teams with intent forms.
As an added instruction: each device pulls one license from the pool that Sketchup has allotted SSC. Therefore, each team should be limited to one device for the SSC Sketchup license.
If you are NOT having Sketchup problems, you may be the cause of why other teams do not have Sketchup licenses.
Instructions to add (or remove) a license: https://help.sketchup.com/en/admin/authorizing-or-removing-license
If there are still teams having problems on February 9, the SSC Rules Committee will work with Trimble to reorganize the Sketchup licensing assignment system (which may involve rescinding the existing license authorization and issuing instructions for a new one).

I'm receiving the same error and I'm unsure how to remedy the situation.

Hello,
Our team has been trying to active our license using the information in the discussion above, but have been receiving the following error message: "That doesn't look like a correct Serial Number and unique Authorization Code for this version of SketchUp". We have tried to use both 2025 and 2026 version of Sketchup. Is there a step we are missing or has this information expired? Thanks!

Hi SSC'ers! If you're still having trouble, feel free to add to this discussion thread. Similarly, if you had success, feel free to share your process; I know another team would be grateful for you to help them get going on Sketchup.

We have gotten multiple requests for support due to errors when entering the credentials. This was Sketchup's response:
Is it possible that the same student is attempting to activate the license on more than two devices? We do limit activations per seat to prevent piracy or unintentional usage, so if one student is attempting to activate a seat and sign in to their account on 3+ devices that may be what's causing the issue. It should be correctable so long as each student signs into their account individually.
If a student has unintentionally activated their seat across too many devices and needs to remove one of those activations, they can do so following this instructions provided here: https://help.sketchup.com/en/admin/deauthorizing-devices
If you have any other Sketchup licensing problems, feel free to use this forum.

Update to ALL TEAMS:
Here is the Sketchup License info for 2026:
User name: Scott Struck
Company/organization: ASCE 2026
Serial number: BH-00339293-ALR
Authorization Code: aeee5b1e985e86
After enabling the license in Sketchup, you can then create your own personal Trimble IDs (free) which will allow you to log in and use the web-based features in the program.
Enjoy! (sustainably)

Hi, I was wondering when the license authorization for SketchUp would be available. It says in the rules that it will be made available in Mid September via the ASCE Sustainable Solutions Competition Collaboration site, but I have not seen anything regarding this yet. Thanks!
