I'm Sam Rana, a first-year B.Tech student in Civil Engineering at Delhi Technological University (DTU), India. I'm excited to join the T&DI Around the World 2021 Student Competition community, although I see that it's been inactive for a while.
As a transportation engineering enthusiast, I'm passionate about designing and developing efficient, safe, and sustainable transportation systems. I'm committed to staying updated on industry trends and best practices in transportation engineering, with a focus on innovative solutions for smart cities and infrastructure development.
I'm proud to share that I'm re-establishing the ASCE DTU chapter. Additionally, I'm exploring startup opportunities in transportation engineering and would love to connect with like-minded individuals.
I'd like to propose an idea to revitalize this community and promote ASCE and T&DI in India. How about we collaborate to organize an international event in the field of transportation engineering? We could host it at DTU or in Delhi, India, or even organize it as an online event.
The event could feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, and presentations on the latest trends and innovations in transportation engineering. We could also include competitions, hackathons, or workshops to encourage student participation and engagement.
By hosting this event, we can promote ASCE and T&DI in India, attract new members, and provide a platform for students and professionals to network and learn from each other.
