Only the top 4 rows of Table 2 in the Excel logging template require a "receipt". Light rail transit is not considered a commercial mode of transportation in this competition (see Row#21 in this same table). The 4 commercial modes listed are considered
commercial only in that you need to reserve a spot, select a date for your reservation and purchase that ticket for entry on the day of travel. For clarity, these 4 modes are:
Commercial Airline (Delta, United, etc.)
Commercial Long-haul Bus (Greyhound, etc.)
Commercial Train (high-speed rail)
Commercial Ship (Norwegian, Holland, etc.)
Light rail transit is
not considered a commercial mode of transportation for this competition. They operate on a fixed schedule regardless of ridership, and passengers can access with little to no advanced planning. This form of transportation can be found in Row#21 of Table 2 and does not require a receipt.
transit - train (rail and/or light rail .... such as BART, MARTA, MAX, Metro, etc.)
Hope this helps. -Rick Boudreau

Subject: How to find receipts for past tranportation.
We just joined this competition and are trying to find receipts to the light link rail (a transit system) and we are having trouble finding receipts to tickets that would have been on March 19, 2021. Could we also get a clarification on what transportation methods a receipt is needed?
Thanks,
Dylan Rodabough
