    2023 Topic Announced!

Per ASCE’s Code of Ethics, engineers govern their professional careers on fundamental principles that, above all else, protect and advance the health, safety, and welfare of the public through the practice of Civil Engineering.

Most engineering designs rely on regulations that trickle down from federal, state, and county levels. In some situations, regulations and the ethical considerations of engineers may not always align due to regulations requiring updates to incorporate new standards of practice or as a result of outside influences.

How does an engineer balance regulations and ethics?

Entries for the contest shall be limited to one paper from each Student Chapter and must be submitted through the Faculty Advisor. Questions to [email protected]

Invite an ASCE Officer to Speak
In today's virtual landscape, inviting one of ASCE's officers to speak at a meeting is easier than ever. Plan ahead and get a great speaker to welcome new students to your chapter. You can request a short talk with Q & A or a longer presentation. Let us know the topic you want the officer to address, as well as how much time is allotted, if this is a casual event or more formal, and who the expected attendees will be. Once your event is confirmed we encourage you to promote broadly.
    Membership Toolkit
ASCE has developed some great resources for you to use to recruit new members: brochures and application forms you can order (or download and print), presentations, videos to show at recruiting meetings, and even some free giveaway items!
    Check Your Membership Status
Did you let renewal season pass you by? Think you're membership is current, but not positive? You already know an active society membership comes with tons of great benefits, so show your group (and prospective new chapter members) the value of a continued commitment to ASCE.*
*Reminder: If you are an ASCE student member during your graduation year, you'll automatically receive a full free year of professional membership!

    Download ASCE Student Chapter Logos!

Our designers have been working overtime to make individual logos for every ASCE Student Chapter! Use them on shirts, websites, signage, and any other promotional materials. Logo may not be altered or combined with any other image.
