  • ASCE Lebanon Section Community Service Earth Day Event

    In celebration of Earth Day, The ASCE Lebanon Section, in collaboration with several non-governmental organizations (NGOs), hosted "Future Leaders Plant Greener Future." Five Lebanon Student Chapters participated including Rafik Harini University, American University of Beirut, Beirut Arab University, St. Joseph University and University of Balamand.

    This event is part of a project called “Pine Campus”. It involved rehabilitating a part of the Horsh Beirut Park to make it student friendly. It included clearing overgrown bushes and invasive plants, cleaning up the park, and planting over 250 trees. When completed it will provide a green area with Wi-Fi service for university students.
