Abstract: Growing up in a modest household in New York City, this presentation shares the early journey of ASCE President Marsha Anderson Bomar. As life choices are made, a path is created, but it is rarely a straight one. Through many twists and turns, moments of celebration and failure, the decisions made along the way have shaped the person she has become today. This talk aims to encourage and inspire participants to be courageous in making choices. Even decisions that may not appear ideal in the near term can lead to unexpectedly positive outcomes and create new opportunities for the future.
