We are excited to announce that the 16th International Symposium on River Sedimentation (ISRS2025) will be held in Omaha, Nebraska, USA, from December 14-17, 2025. Hosted by the University of Nebraska---Lincoln and officially supported by the World Association for Sedimentation and Erosion Research (WASER), ISRS2025 marks a significant milestone in the global dialogue on sedimentation science.
About ISRS
Initiated in 1980, ISRS is a triennial event that brings together leading scientists, engineers, and practitioners from around the world to share cutting-edge research, innovative methodologies, and practical insights in sediment transport, river morphology, and sediment management.
Theme of ISRS2025
The theme of this year6s symposium is: "Centennial of Modern Sediment Transport Mechanics" This commemorates the foundational work of Exner and Schmidt in 1925, celebrating a century of progress in sediment transport theory and its applications.
Call to Action
We invite ASCE members, researchers, and students to participate in ISRS2025 and contribute to the advancement of sedimentation science. The symposium offers a unique opportunity to engage with global experts, explore emerging challenges, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration.
