Michael, If the IBC is the building code adopted by the authority having jurisdiction, it is the legal document governing design in that jurisdiction. ASCE 7 is a referenced standard adopted by the IBC. Therefore if you are using the IBC, the loading criteria from ASCE 7 would apply, unless there ...
