Mohammad Amin Dargi, S.M.ASCE

Bio

I'm a PhD student in the Department of Civil, Enivronmental and Geo Engineering (CEGE) at University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. I'm doing my research at the Center of Geo-processes in Mineral Carbon Storage, Office of Science, U.S. Department of Energy which is housed by UMN.
I graduated form the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at University of Tehran with master degree in 2022. My research was in the field of Geotechnical engineering, Finite element analysis and computational mechanics. I presented 2D and 2.5D FEM code for visco-elastic layered soil successfully, and investigate soil responses due to moving loads. I also made a comparison between 2D and 2.5D results. Moreover, I investigated effect of wave barrier with 2.5D code for reducing vibration amplitude.
I received my B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Khajeh Nasir Toosi University of Technology (KNTU) in 2019 with GPA 3.76/4, and had great teaching assistant experiences when I studied at KNTU. I attended 24th Civil engineering Olympiad, and received 8th grade among competitors.
