My name is Alex Jakstys and I am an Associate Engineering Manager at Walbridge, an Engineering News-Record “Top 50” U.S. construction company based in Detroit, MI. With 7+ years of experience I have worked on a wide variety of Commercial, Heavy Civil, and Industrial projects. I am a licensed Professional Engineer (Civil-Construction) in the State of Michigan as well as LEED AP BD+C and WELL AP accredited.
Prior to joining Walbridge, I attended Michigan State University where I received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. While a student, I dedicated time to the Michigan State Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE), serving as the Membership Coordinator and later as Vice President.
While attending Michigan State University, I was a member of the Men’s Ultimate Frisbee Club Team where I had the privilege of being a co-captain for 3 seasons. I traveled with the team to tournaments in 7+ states, including a trip to Boulder, CO for the College National Championship where we placed 17th in the country. This experience helped me develop my leadership skills which I now utilize on a daily basis both in and out of the workplace.
