    Alexis:

I observe a multitude of accomplishments; however, difficult to find them without greater detail.

Please enumerate upon your activities with specific detail.  Here are a few ideas --->>

Resume suggests that you worked at both RB&G and Peterson in May 2022?  Please realign.

What type of surveying did you acquire skills?  Building, Land, Utility?  Expand upon the equipment utilized.  Mention unique skills such as Registry of Deeds if you supported this activity.

Leverage report writing (and presentations) as a communication skill.  Leverage code compliance as a critical skill.

Note participation in ASCE.  What engineering activities?  Community activities and / or Volunteer activities?

    All the best,

    David

    Alexis:

Great selling points and I am pleased.  Now, a few more details will round out your accomplishments.

What was the property feature (such as ledge, water, wetland) property size (if greater than an acre, then mention)?  Structures were multi-level?  Historic? Topography was simple or complex?

List the professional reports you supported.

Aspiring EIT?!  <--- This will certainly demonstrate a vision.

    Dear David,

Thank you for your prompt review and valuable feedback! I appreciate your suggestions.
    Professional References vs. Character References:
I understand the importance of distinguishing between professional and character references. In my resume, I'll ensure that:
    - Professional references include supervisors, mentors, or colleagues who can attest to my technical skills and work experience (e.g., internship supervisors).
    - Character references highlight personal qualities, such as teamwork, leadership, or community engagement (e.g., volunteer coordinators).

    Availability:
I'm available immediately and willing to start as soon as possible.

    Relocation:
Yes, I'm open to relocation for the right opportunity, particularly in regions with significant sustainable infrastructure development projects.

    Additional information:
    - I'm willing to consider internships, co-op positions, or full-time roles.
    - I'm eager to discuss how my skills align with your organization's needs.

Thank you again for your guidance, David. I look forward to further discussion.

    Sam:

Something to consider --->>  This format seems to be successful if a multitude of specific points are posted often matching the announcement.  Typically utilized in seeking public sector work.  However, this format has lost its livelihood because reviewers can pull apart the resume via a "key word" search. Stylistic formats are more favorable and can easily leverage your accomplishments.  I would focus on marketing your accomplishments IE content and detail.

    Dear David,

Thank you for your insightful feedback and suggestions! I really appreciate your expertise and guidance.

I completely understand your point about the format I used, and how it may not be as effective in today's digital age. I agree that a more stylistic format that highlights my accomplishments and skills would be more favorable.

I will definitely take your advice into consideration and focus on marketing my accomplishments, content, and detail. I will work on creating a more modern and effective format that showcases my skills and experiences.

Thank you again for your feedback and guidance. I really appreciate your willingness to help me improve.

    Shyh-Jiun,

I have reviewed your resume and think you have a strong starting point. Your resume is very professional, easy to navigate, and has all the key information on it a future employer would be looking for. I feel one piece that is missing is having an Objective or Purpose Statement. I have provided some examples you could use in my attached comments, along with some other minor changes that I think can make your resume even better. See attached. Let me know if you have any questions on my comments. Great job!

    Yogesh,

I have reviewed your document, and to me this is more of a CV than a resume. I think having a CV makes sense in your case, but doing in-depth reviews of CV's is outside of the scope of the ASCE Resume Workshop. I provided some comments on ways you can improve your CV and some suggestions on how to make this document more like a resume. See attached. Thanks.

I have reviewed your resume, and you have accomplished a lot in your time in academics! Your resume is professional and includes content that highlights your strengths and high performance. I think re-organizing and combining some of your resume sections together will make your resume easier to navigate. I think by adding an Objective or Purpose statement to your resume will help improve your resume even more. See my attached comments for more information. Let me know if you have any questions on my comments. Graduation is almost here!

    Amjad,

I have reviewed your resume and overall it is very good. It is professional, easy to navigate, and I like the subtle formatting touches of color, underlines and font sizes. I like your opening section that describes your experience and what type of engineering position you are looking for. I think with re-organizing some sections and combining some section together, your resume will be stronger. See attached for my comments on this. Let me know if you have any questions on my comments. Please find attached my resume. I'm a mid-career engineering professional. My major problem is to tell a very appealing story to a hiring manager, as I had a very nonlinear career path (worked both in academia and industry and in different countries). I look forward to having your comments. Thank you!

    Posted 11-15-2024 01:30 PM

    Rudraprasad,

You have excellent credentials, experience and education but your resume is very cluttered and could use some re-formatting – the key to remember is that the people looking at your resume are looking at many resumes and do not spend much time on each resume so your first few items have to peek their interest.

Your "Summary" is too long and it appears to be more of a bio (written in the third person by someone else).  This should be your "Objective" area – what type of job are you looking for? "I am looking for........ As you said, you have worked in academia and industry – which one are you looking to move into NOW?  If you are unsure, you may need different objectives depending on the positions you submit for.  The Objective should be fluid to the job you are pursuing.

Reading through your resume, it tells your academia story better than your industry story – reformat and write a few sentences about what you did in those positions.  I think the technical expertise section is unnecessary if you better describe your industry and academic positions and the roles and responsibilities.

Also, with 15 years of experience, you are not looking for an entry level position so move your education information towards the bottom of page 2 and move your experience to the beginning – front and center.

For your experience and years of service, Page 1 is the focus to get a recruiter's attention and Page 2 is the backup to bolster you as the best candidate.

Good luck to you and I hope these suggestions help you.

    Greetings,
It seems in 8 Years you advanced very quickly as a Bachelor's Degree in the work field.
Employers are looking for the Doctorate level at some point in time, the advanced Doctorates will be the instruments of the work.

So keep it to one page for this exercise and can you put names on the projects, jobs you developed.
Points in the timeline are important down the road.

    Sincerely,

Thank you for submitting this! Are you planning to apply for jobs in the US with this resume or outside the US by chance? I don't want to give you US-specific advice if you won't be applying to jobs in the United States which is where all my experience reviewing resumes is from.

    Hi Saye Matthew,

Thank you again for submitting your resume! A few suggestions on ways you can further improve your resume:

    • In your About Me, is there a specific discipline within Civil Engineering that you want apply to jobs in? Structures, Transportation, Water Resources? If so, I would add this into your objective statement.
    • Consider moving your education and training directly under your About Me section. You mention that you are fourth year student, so I would also add an anticipated graduation date (i.e. May 2025) within this section.
    • For the experience section, can you add more quantitative experience? For example, for Tutor role, how many students were you tutoring total? Was it in an individual setting or a group tutoring setting? If you can add numbers to all of your work experience, this will help me understand the scope of your experience better!
    • For the  digital skills section, you could add what version of the program you are most familiar with (i.e. AutoCAD 2020 or Bentley OpenRoads Designer 10.12)

As Resume Coach Chris mentioned previously in this thread, consider removing your photograph, birthdate, gender, full address,  and nationality from the resume if you are applying to jobs in the USA.

    Hope this helps!

    Sincerely,

    Dani

    Dear ASCE Design Coaches,

I am excited to submit my resume for the ASCE Fall Resume Workshop. I am a recent Master's graduate in Civil Engineering, currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Florida International University with a focus on structural engineering and resilience in flood impact scenarios. My background includes hands-on experience in quality assurance for major infrastructure projects, such as my role on the Gordie Howe International Bridge project with Fluor Corporation, where I ensured adherence to rigorous quality standards.

I am eager to enhance my resume to better reflect my technical expertise and commitment to advancing infrastructure resilience. I would greatly appreciate any insights and feedback from the ASCE coaches to help me present my qualifications effectively for career opportunities in civil and structural engineering.

Thank you for this valuable opportunity. I look forward to your feedback.

    Best regards,

    Mostafa

    Hi Mostafa,

This is overall a great resume! A few suggestions on ways you can further improve your resume:

    • I would recommend only including one email address on your resume. I would pick the one that you check more often.
    • If you are able to fit it, I would include the full LinkedIn URL on your resume like you did with your Google site as there is many times at work I have been given printed resumes to review.
    • For the experience section, I would also right aligned your dates at each organization, similar to your graduation dates in the section above.
    • For the experience section, can you add more quantitative experience? For example, how many reports total did you prepare as part of the Gordie Howe International Bridge project? Where they different types of reports? Estimates are fine. For your TA roles, about how many students were in each class  - 15 or 50?  How many labs sessions and quizzes were included each term? Adding numbers helps me get a better understanding of your experience.
    • For the skills section, you could add what version of the program (i.e. AutoCAD 2020 or Bentley OpenRoads Designer 10.12)
    • Love seeing ASCE Member on your resume! Can you perhaps add more about your volunteering experiences here with this since it is under the Volunteering header?
    • If you are running out of room with these additions, I would shorten your education portion by removing your Thesis titles from the 2016 and 2019 schooling.

Good job, and I hope this helps.

    Hi Nour El Houda,

Thank you again for submitting your resume! A few suggestions on ways you can further improve your resume:

    • Change the file name of your resume to include your name (i.e. Resume_DSchroeder.pdf). There is many times I am reviewing resumes digitally, so it would be helpful for it to labeled with your name to stand out from the other resumes I am reviewing.
    • In the skills section, I believe "reserach" is meant to be "research".
    • You mentioned outstanding grading in your about me, so I would recommend adding your GPA or equivalent within your education section.
    • I would separate "Education and Professional Development" into just education at Rades so that your degree stands out! I would also add your anticipated graduation date here (i.e. May 2025).
    • The Aspire Leadership Program sounds great and you must have gotten a lot out of it! I would recommend combining this with your Volunteer Experience and label that section "Leadership and Volunteer Experience"
    • For the internship section, can you add more quantitative experience? For example, about how many site visits and inspections did you complete? What kind of technical drawings and reports – were they geotechnical or structural focused?
    • For the current volunteer experience, can you incorporate your skill into this? For example how were you speedy and efficient when it comes to collection of food and clothing to rural areas?
      • In this section, I believe you have a typo that "assiste" should be "assist". Because this is a current volunteer opportunity, I keep this in present tense.

As Resume Coach Chris mentioned previously in this thread, consider removing your photograph from the resume if you are applying to jobs in the USA.

    Hope this helps!

    Sincerely,

    Dani

    Hi Akintunde,

Thank you for submitting your resume! A few suggestions on ways you can further improve your resume:

    • Considering  consolidating this to one page. Right now in the word document form, it is showing up as 2.25 pages when I open it. As a 2023 graduate, I typically see a one page resume that is a quick summary of you! What I would do to get this done to one page:
      • Remove your Secondary School experience
      • Shorten your Skills and Interest section
      • Shorten the volunteer experience to only include your most impactful volunteer experience
    • For the experience section, can you add more quantitative experience? For example, for the National Youth Service Corp role, how many site visits do you go to and about how many site reports did this result in? Are they for a 2 story residential site or a multi-runway airport? A bit more detail here can help me get a better sense of your past work experience.
    • For your volunteer experience, can you tell me more about how your coordinated attendees? Including total number of attendees at this exhibit might also be helpful.

    Hope this helps!

    Sincerely,

    Dani

    Hi Hassan Muheez Olamiji,

This is overall a good resume! A few suggestions on ways you can further improve your resume:

    • For the work experience section, can you add more quantitative experience? For example, training in the handling of contract documents -  for how many projects did you do this? Where you balancing multiple projects at the same time? You also talk about site reports in several work experiences – about how many site reports did you prepare at each place?
    • For your leadership experience, especially as Sports Director, can you tell me more about how the HOD's Football tournament was successful? Was it a record number of participants or money raised?
    • For the technical skills section, you could add what version of the program (i.e. AutoCAD 2020 or Bentley OpenRoads Designer 10.12)
    • For the soft skills, could you perhaps show me how you are an effective communicator through your work or volunteering experience above? For example, the Engineering Project Exhibitions – maybe you can talk about how your effectively communicated with stakeholders to prepare the logistics for the event that was attended by XXXX number of attendees or how you assisted presenting to XXXX number of attendees about the projects.

Good job, and I hope this helps.

    Sincerely,

    Dani

    Hi Cameron,

I suggest a minor change to the wording of your Objective with a little more emphasis on what you can lend to an employer, rather than strictly what you hope to gain yourself.

Your work experience section looks great to me. My background isn't in structures but it appears that you describe your work clearly and are showing your skills without coming off as bragging.

Maybe I am biased because my own resume is formatted this way, but I honestly think everything else about your resume already looks great too.

If we really want to nitpick your formatting, you could try to find a way to re-gain some of the area on the left side of the page so that you didn't need such a small margin on the right side to keep everything on one page – but again I'm nitpicking because I really like everything else you have here. Great job.

Hello! Attached is my resume. I'll be graduating in December 2024 with an Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology, but I want to major in Economics or Psychology and then go to Law School. I worked for a few years in my dad's mechanical engineering company as an AutoCAD Drafter, and to fund schooling, I want to find a job in drafting or honestly, anything that would make me $20 or more per hour. I have always applied to positions I thought I was eligible for but never heard back or was rejected. Thank you in advance for reviewing my resume, and for taking the time to do so!

    Hi Clint,

I like your Objective, simple at that. You could change it if we are nitpicking to "continue to apply my skills etc." since you clearly already have experience.

Under Experience, we could nitpick more by saying "Perform studies and develop master plans…" if my understanding of your role is correct.

Other than that I think your resume looks great. I don't think there are any glaring issues and it seems to succinctly cover a wide variety of your professional and volunteer experiences, as well as your proficiency in multiple languages. As a fellow water resources engineer I would absolutely bring you in for an interview if this resume came across my desk. Nice work.

    Hi Paulina,

To nitpick the language under profile, it might sound better to change "contribute in impactful projects" to "contribute to impactful projects."

Under Experience, I would change the way you worded your work as a Construction Intern to the same active tone and person that you used for Department Assistant. Personally I would also move your entire Experience section above everything except Profile, as your previous work experience will be the most important thing on your resume.

If you have the space, you could consider creating a specific category for Skills and Certificates together, and move Awards to a new section or combine it with Leadership and Activities instead. This is a minor edit and not a big deal either way.

Besides those minor things, the overall content of your resume is complete, clear, and easy to read.

    Good job.

    Hi David,

You have a lot of academic experience listed and a well-organized resume. Given all of your professional experience and the fact that you possess a unique combination of both civil and chemical-related skills and knowledge, I would consider removing the section about the Neon Deli, and at the top of your resume including a "Summary" or "Objective" statement that summarizes your background, explains what you are looking for, but also what you can offer to a potential employer.

In case the below is helpful:

Resume profile: A resume profile is a quick snippet of your skills and experience as it relates to the specific job you seek. It would help if you modified your profile each time you apply for a different position.

Resume objective: A resume objective is another optional section unique to each position you apply for. An objective provides the potential employer with an overview of the goals you have for employment.

    Good job.

    Posted 11-17-2024 11:00 AM

    Hi Himanshu,

First, consider removing your photograph, birthdate, and nationality from the resume. If you are applying to jobs in the USA, it could potentially disqualify you from consideration out of concerns about bias. If you are not applying to jobs in the USA, this may not matter, but I wanted to let you know.

I would suggest removing the sections on Co-Curricular Activities, Trainings, and Memberships. Instead, use that space to expand more on your work experience. You list a very large number of employers, and it would be great if you could quantify what you did at some of those companies. If space is a concern, consider removing some of these companies and only including descriptions of work that were most important to whatever job you are applying for each time you submit a resume. If you need even more space, you could reduce some of the section on Professional Honours and Awards as well.

You could also consider adding an Objective statement at the top of your resume. Each of these below would work:

Resume profile: A resume profile is a quick snippet of your skills and experience as it relates to the specific job you seek. It would help if you modified your profile each time you apply for a different position.

Resume objective: A resume objective is another optional section unique to each position you apply for. An objective provides the potential employer with an overview of the goals you have for employment.

Good luck and thanks for submitting.

    Wilson,

As a young engineer starting out, the first item on your resume should be an "Objective" – a clear and very brief description of the role being sought.  I would remove "Professional Summary" and re-write it as your Objective statement.  For example, you state you have a strong foundation in design engineering and transportation planning yet you also state you have understanding of project management principles – which way are you leading?  To a recruiter, this is confusing.  NOTE:  You do not need to have only ONE Objective – you may have to re-write it depending on the position you are going for, whether its design, planning or PM.

Under Education – what was your Major/Minor – not sure what distinguished coursework means – most recruiters understand Major/Minor – even if you didn't declare a minor, where did your focus lie? GPA – include if good?

Skills are usually a filler in a resume – I am not against you having them as you are a recent graduate but I would move them below your experience.  Newly graduated engineers are more attractive to employers with experience and internships so move your experience higher on the page.  You have excellent experience that I feel is well written – it needs to be more focal for a reviewer.

As you make these edits, keep it to one page.  Multi page resumes are usually for people with more experience.  Overall, you have a solid resume that with a few format modification should serve you well.  The key will be you attracting attention with a solid Objective.

Good luck to you and I hope these suggestions help you.

    Kashaun,

As a freshman looking for your first internship in the engineering field, it can be difficult because you haven't taken much relevant coursework but I think you have some elements in you resume that can attract employers with a few edits.

You have an Objective statement but I feel it is hidden or not properly accentuated.  You have extra space on your resume – make Objective BOLD and expand slightly on what you are looking for and why – include some description of yourself – self-motivated, etc. – this is where you sell yourself since you are a younger student looking for an internship and remember, your resume gets you an interview but your responses during the interview is how you sell yourself to an employer and get hired.

Under Education, put your GPA if its good.  Do you have a Major – structural, traffic, civil, etc?  I would keep your HS and college level coursework – it demonstrates your motivation.

Remove the word "extracurricular" – call it Relevant experience and it does not need to be chronological.  Put your Mentee work first – you should list it from Engineering experience first to other experiences that highlight your drive and determination.

For the Rand Mentee work – expand more on what you did.  Change Shadow to "worked with" – you want to demonstrate how you contributed while you were learning.  Remove understanding AutoCad to "worked on AutoCad" – I hope you see that this slight difference is important to potential employers – they are looking for workers, not followers.

Overall, I think you have a solid resume and if you make these corrections, it will assist you on finding an internship.  Also, if you are applying for different types of internships, make sure to re-write the objective statement to match the position.

Good luck to you and I hope these suggestions help you.

    Usman,

Normally, for someone with your years in the industry, I would recommend moving your education lower in the resume but since you are a PHD candidate, I would leave it as is.  I like your formatting; however, in reviewing it, I do not understand what you are looking for – you need an Objective statement, probably on the left side of your resume above your Professional Summary – delete "Professional Geotechnical Engineer I Geotechnical Consultant I Civil Engineer I" – I do not find them necessary and you can address this in your Objective Statement which should clearly define what role are you looking for with a potential employer.

Your 2 page resume almost appear to be 2 separate resumes.  I would not have your experience listed on Page 1 but then explained on Page 2 – recruiters lose interest when they have to search for information – make it more user friendly.  Move skills to the second page – your experience is key based on your years of experience and the level of position you will be applying for.

Also, the left column repeats the same information on Page 2 as Page 1 – that is confusing.  Once you add the Objective, some of this information will migrate to Page 2 but there should be no duplications.  You could move your Skills to this column and expand on a few of your experiences – they are key for an employer's review at your level.

Overall, I think it's a great format but the Objective will make it more appealing to an employer as well as the other format suggestions.

Good luck to you and I hope these suggestions help you.

    Shahd,

I really like the format of your resume – it flows well and is easy to read and find information which is helpful to recruiters when reviewing a candidate's resume.  My biggest comment will be that you need an Objective statement – what type of position are you looking for?  Without this statement, I cannot tell.

Under Education – what was your major? Civil Engineering has many different disciplines and an employer needs to know what expertise are you leaning towards?  Capitalize Science and include your GPA if good.  Move Courses above Skills.

Under Experience, all of your experience look equal but an employer is going to care more about your Engineering internship.  Expand on these bullets and detract from the other items due to space constraints.  Graduating Engineers with experience are more attractive to employers so expanding this section makes perfect sense.  There is nothing wrong with your other experiences as they demonstrate your character but the most important skill is your engineering skills to an employer.

Overall, excellent format and content – my suggestions will help make your resume more attractive to new employers,

Good luck to you and I hope these suggestions help you.

    Hello Briana,

You have a really strong resume both in format and content, in my opinion. I do have some minor recommendations that I hop will improve it even more.

I recommend including your GPA in your Education section.

I recommend retitling the Experience section to "Professional Experience".

Finally, looking at your Professional Experience and Leadership Experience, you have gained some valuable experience in various software packages. I would recommend adding a Skill Section to highlight those Software Skills you list such as Revit, AutoCAD, etc.

    Posted 11-19-2024 10:58 AM

    Hello Sergio,

You have a strong resume and impressive experience. My feedback for your resume is as follows:

I would eliminate the section entitled "Structural Engineering Designer" and replace that with a section entitled "Objective Statement" and add a concise statement describing the role you are seeking.

I would reorganize your other sections by listing your Education first, Professional Experience second, and then your Skills and Knowledge last. If you are involved in any Activities and Organizations I would recommend adding an additional sections for that at the end.

In your Education section, I recommend including your expected graduation.

In your Skills and Knowledge section, I recommend removing soft skills such as adaptability, problem solving, attention to detail, communication, etc. Those should be reflected in your experience. I  would potentially only list the Engineering and Technical Competence in that section.

My final recommendation is related to formatting in the Professional Experience. I noticed that some phrases were bold, and I assume you were trying to bring attention to that specific experience. I would recommend being consistent with the application of bolding specific phrases. For example, on the experience on page 2, the bold text is always the active experience statement at the beginning, so I would recommend making the bold formatting for the professional experience on the first page the same as the other two on the second page.

I wish you the best in your future job search endeavors and hope this helps!

    Very respectfully,

    Hello Edwin,

I've enjoyed having the opportunity to review your resume and provide some feedback. I think you have a strong resume and with only a few minor edits could bring attention to some or your strengths.

I recommend adding an Objective Statement section at the beginning of your resume with a brief description of the role you are seeking.

I recommend removing your coursework from your Education.

Finally, I would recommend reorganizing your sections as follows: 1) Objective Statement, 2) Education, 3) Project Experience, 4) Professional Experience, 5) Technical Skills, and 6) Professional Organizations. I feel like you have some great project experience that you could bring more attention to if you reorganize those sections.

Thank you for participating in the resume workshop and good luck to you in your future endeavors.

    Hello Mingyu,

I enjoyed reviewing your resume and hope these recommendations help to only make it stronger.

I recommend consolidating your Professional Experience and Selected Engineering Projects to fit your resume on one page or make it two pages. You might check the document size, as I think the Skills Section may be cut off on letter size paper.

I recommend adding an Objective Statement section at the very beginning with a brief description of the role you are seeking.

I recommend adding your GPA to your Education section and removing the selected coursework in both the BS and MS sections.

I recommend removing Microsoft Office from your skills and possibly combining Computer Software and Engineering Software into one section just titled Software.

My final recommendation is to consider retitling "Selected Engineering Projects" to "Project Experience"

Thank you for submitting your resume for review, and I wish you the best in your professional career.

    Hello Jomyuth,

Your resume is impressive and shows quite broad experience throughout your college career. You have done a great job showing examples of successful teamwork and problem solving. I have just a few recommendations that I think would put some final touches on your resume.

I would recommend adding an Objective Statement at the very beginning with a concise description of the role your are seeking.

I would recommend adding your expected graduation date to the Education section in lieu of the word "Present". Also, in your education section I would recommend only including coursework that is specifically applicable to the role you are seeking.

I would recommend possibly retitling "Projects and Extracurriculars" to "Activities, Professional Organizations, and Awards".

Finally, under the Skills & Interests, I would recommend retitling that to just "Skills" and removing Microsoft Office.

I hope that some of these suggestions are helpful, and I wish you the best on future career prospects.

    Hi Jonathan,

Your resume has a lot of good info but should be shorter (1-2 pages). I put notes where I suggest trimming it down. When I remove older or less relevant items from my resume, I like to still keep them written up in another file so I can include them at a later date if they become more relevant to a new position. Best of luck!

    Sarah:

I have been asked to offer comment on your resume.  I suggest consolidating to a one-page resume.  Question -- was your six month work activity from February 2021 to August 2023 an internship?  Not sure.  PM activity should mention size of teams you managed and specify department names (perhaps cost estimating).  Permit activity implies a skill in scheduling (perhaps MS Project).  Question -- Are you seeking an EIT?

    All the best,

    David

    Misha:

Question -- Not sure if your accomplishments include Historic Preservation?  Please expand upon your specific skills in Civil and Environmental -- material science?  restoration?  Leverage your skill in Physics -- acoustics?  Simply marketing coursework (via title) is insufficient.  Question -- Perhaps you might have Building Information Modeling skills?!  Recommend two resumes -- one for Architecture and the second for Engineering.

    All the best,

    David

    Maria:

I have been asked to comment on your resume.  Great accomplishments with specifics posted.  Consider seeking an EIT, then PE.

Question -- What is your career objective?

Question -- When did you graduate?  Please note on resume.

Please realign the spacing from one page to another with even margin (top and bottom).  Number the pages.

    Syed,

I have reviewed your resume and overall I like the look of it. It stands out with the color, different sections, and your photo. It feels more personal and highlights your content creation ability. I think with moving some of your resume content around and adding a few more specifics will improve your resume. See attached for my comments. If you have any questions on my comments, please let me know. Great job!

    Mohammad,

I have reviewed your resume and overall it is very professional and easy to navigate. You highlight your professional experience well and I like your Professional Summary section. I think with moving some sections around, adding some more content and adjusting some spacing to eliminate blank space will make your resume even better. See attached for my comments. Let me know if you have any questions on my comments. Nice job!
