Engr. Ray Francis G. Ralota is a licensed civil and environmental sanitary engineer based in the Philippines, specializing in plumbing systems, water resources, sustainable infrastructure, and drainage design. He is was previously a faculty member at the Cebu Technological University - Cebu (CTU-Cebu) and Salazar Colleges of Science and Institute of Technology (SCSIT–Cebu), where he teaches courses in Civil and Sanitary Engineering, and a graduate researcher at the National University–Manila, focusing on sustainable water and wastewater treatment technologies.
With a strong technical foundation in hydraulics, plumbing engineering, and environmental design, Engr. Ralota’s professional practice bridges academic research and real-world engineering application. His recent research includes work on adsorption kinetics in sanitary leachate treatment using natural adsorbents, contributing to eco-innovative solutions for local wastewater management.
Beyond academia, he has served as a consulting engineer for CG+R Consulting Engineers, providing expertise in site development, plumbing code compliance, and local drainage systems. He has also been a resource speaker at PHILCONSTRUCT Visayas and Manila, sharing insights on up-feed and down-feed plumbing systems and sustainable design practices.
Engr. Ralota is an advocate of integrated water management and resilient infrastructure systems for developing urban environments. He believes that civil engineers must balance design efficiency with sustainability — ensuring that every project supports both community well-being and environmental responsibility.
I really love to study water — not just as a resource, but as a system that connects people, cities, and life itself.
