Bio

​Jeff Greenfield, Ph.D., P.E., F.ASCE, D.WRE, F.NSPE, BCEE, LEED AP, ENV SP

Dr. Greenfield earned a BS in Biology and a MS and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering all from the University of Pittsburgh. He currently is a Project Manager with Broward County Water & Wastewater Services in South Florida and an adjunct faculty member teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Florida International University in Miami. His recent courses include Engineering Ethics, Senior Capstone Design, Fluid Mechanics, Bioremediation, Introduction to Environmental Engineering, and Chemistry for Environmental Engineers. He is a member of the ASCE Committee on Ethical Practice, a corresponding member of the Committee on Licensure, and the ASCE liaison to the NCEES Examinations for Professional Engineers Committee. Dr. Greenfield is also a member of the Florida Atlantic University Civil, Environmental & Geomatics Engineering Department Advisory Council; in addition to his volunteer work with ASCE as the vice chair of the NCEES Environmental Engineering PE Exam Committee, an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commissioner, an elected board member of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists, and a member of the NSPE Board of Ethical Review. Dr. Greenfield also served as president and state director of the Broward Chapter of the Florida Engineering Society (FES) and is a member of several state committees.
