Hi, I am currently undertaking a part-time degree course and for my final year dissertation, I am looking at methods of planning and scheduling works where workability and weather events, storms, wave and water levels are a key consideration. The study is mainly focused on marine works in coastal or inland waters locations. Some of the key themes of my study include workability analyses during construction planning, the use of wind/wave data and models for scheduling and planning works and the potential for increased storm/extreme event frequency due to climate change and how this may impact construction planning.

I have a questionnaire which I am looking for experienced professionals to complete. It is totally anonymous, and does not collect email addresses or any other personal information (you can leave your email address at the end should you wish to receive any further information or have any questions, but that is completely voluntary). It should only take 10-15 minutes and all but 1 question is in the form of a multiple choice or checkbox answer. The final question provides a space to make any relevant comments you wish to, or expand on some of your points.

I am particularly keen to have input from people with experience of marine works anywhere in the world: contractors, clients, consultants, independent professionals or academics at any and all levels of experience, whether they be new entrants from college or apprenticeships, someone with 30+ years experience as a dredging superintendent, or retired.

The link to the Google Forms questionnaire is below. Please feel free to share it with anyone you think may be interested in completing it, and thank you very much in advance for your participation.
