Dear Orin, depending on the vessel's weight and possible failure by tension on anchors, I suggest you go deep on the slab and reconfigure a pedestal reinforcement distribution including pre-installed anchors and then, cast concrete. Concrete compatibility is best to accomplish rather than adhesive under tensile loads.

Subject: Vertical vessels post installed adhesive anchors
Is it unsafe to use post installed adhesive anchors to anchor a 35 foot tall vertical vessel to an existing 16" thick concrete slab. I plan to add a 7 ft. sq.x 6" thick pedestal to the slab to make it 22" thick and use 1 1/5" bolts with 18" embedment. The calculations say it will work but I have heard that it is not wise to use post installed anchors on vertical vessels.
