ISO TC 59 and its subcommittee will be meeting in Oslo in October and one of the Agenda items is the Strategic Business Plan – SBP –discussion on the first draft and input from SC's. ASCE can provide input through its status as one of the WFEO CATEGORY A LIAISONS TO TC 59.

I wil study that and tell my colleagues in WFEO Engineers Europe Swiss Committee.

Since I mainly worked on ISO 9000 and 31000, I was not aware of ISO TC 59. But the issue of economic viability of many SME and micro engineering consultanccies -- which constitute the majority in Europe (what about the US?) -- is important, also when it comes to remuneration negotiations in a liberal construction market without administered fees. Does ASCE issue fee recommendations?
