I've used GTStrudl for over 40 years and it was developed by Georgia Tech for steel structure analysis and design. I've used GTSTRUDL for over 30 years. It was developed at Georgia Tech and was acquired by Intergraph/Hexagon a few years ago. They used to send out a free trial/student edition.
