Mr. Jon Girand, P.E., L.S., F.ASCE





Bio

Jon Girand has over 40 years' experience specializing in civil engineering; planning, design, and construction administration of diverse projects including pavement design, hydrology and hydraulics, water and sewer, and roadway design. He also has extensive experience in the preparation of design reports, specifications, special provisions and estimates.

Girand's understanding of FAA, US Army Corps of Engineers, and Navy design requirements pertaining to the planning, design, and construction administration of airport facilities has led to the successful completion of many civil and military airport projects.

Girand also has some unique experience, designing hot weather vehicle test tracks, durability roads, wet and dry skid pads, salt-spray roads, dust roads, suspension test courses, cobblestone roads and even chuckholes for Ford, General Motors, Volkswagen, U-Haul, Chrysler and Volvo in Arizona and Michoacán, Mexico.

Girand is licensed as a Professional Engineer in Colorado; and as a Civil Engineer, Sanitary Engineer and Land Surveyor in Arizona

Girand is active in the community, serves on the City of Arvada Transportation Committee, serves on several national committees of Engineers Without Borders - USA and has traveled to Ecuador several times building water systems for indigenous Andean communities, and is an elder in his church.
