Susan is the Co-founder and CEO of Brains4Drones, a tech startup out of Dallas. Brains4Drones is developing a computer vision platform of sensors and software that helps unmanned aerial vehicles “see.” A second generation civil engineer, Susan hails from NYC where she experienced firsthand the need to improve the inspection tools and the resilience of our nation’s infrastructure. Today, she is applying drone technology to improve the collection and presentation of condition assessment data, getting cameras where we need them while keeping boots on the ground. Susan has also served as a bridge inspector, urban planner, STEM teacher, researcher, product developer, mom, and volunteer. As she writes this, Susan’s company is working with her local utility company to assess damaged distribution lines immediately following extreme weather events.
