Nick Zygouris was born in Komotini, Greece in 1968.He received a 5-year Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece (1991) and an MSc degree, also in Structural Engineering, from UMIST, currently University of Manchester (1992).He has extensive experience in design of high-end projects in Greece and Internationally. He has participated, as project engineer, senior engineer and chief engineer, in numerous projects including structural design of bridges, buildings and rehabilitation of monumental structures.He is currently Partner and Chief Engineer in Lithos Consulting Engineers LTD and is also working towards a PhD degree in innovative seismic design of concrete structures. He has participated in a number of scientific committees. In the period 2009-2012 he was President of the Hellenic Association of Civil Engineers.
