Aayush is a Master’s student in Civil Engineering, emphasizing Structural Engineering, at Washington State University (expected May 2027). Driven by a passion for designing structures that stand as tall and proud as the Himalayas, he is dedicated to achieving his dream of becoming a highly proficient structural engineer.
Building on a strong technical background in fundamental structural design concepts, Aayush is proficient in the design of reinforced concrete, steel, timber, and mass timber structures. Currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at WSU, his research focuses on enhancing the seismic performance of mass timber buildings by utilizing rocking CLT shear walls. To advance his structural analysis and testing, he frequently leverages computational tools like Python, alongside industry-standard software including SAP2000, ETABS, and OpenSees.
Outside of his academic and research pursuits, Aayush enjoys playing soccer, singing, and traveling. He is eager to connect with, learn from, and contribute to the ASCE community as he advances his engineering journey in the US.
