Thats really cool Alex! Like Daniel mentioned, I don't frequently find ways to merge video or photo editing skills into my work as a civil engineer, but when I do, I find it very satisfying as well.
I have found that when I create presentations, if the audience is appropriate, I like to include relevant memes and pictures. It happened a lot more often back when I did more outreach to younger audiences, but I still try to sneak a few in at my current job. I'll attach a few for example.
Otherwise, I never really planned to turn my personal hobbies into things I could do at work. However, if you ever find a job that needs someone to ski out to a remote job site or go study the hydrodynamic conditions of waves at a beach by surfing on them, please do send me the job posting!

Weeks ago, I finished up a class that taught me how to use art apps Photoshop and iMovie. After I posted the completed projects on my accounts, I, after years of subscriptions to Youtube channels about video essays, franchise reviews, news, etc., started creating videos of my own. I had already spent years teaching myself to create pictures, but these videos required teaching myself more about meticulous aspects of editing and ideas. And judging by views of content through Youtube and Deviantart, my dub and meme videos are improving and could lead to work with presentation years down the line.
What types of personal projects were you hoping to implement into your field at some point?
