Civil Engineering graduate from REC (NIT) –Trichy, 1974. And Post-Graduation in Structural Engineering from VREC (VNIT) -Nagpur1983 with University Third Rank.
Served in various government services (16 years): TWAD, MMDA, CSMRS-CWC, CMPDIL-CIL, NABARD and as Structural Engineer in Bahrain.
Served as Professor of Civil Engineering (16 years in teaching) in the following Engineering Colleges: RVS- Dindigul, PSNA-Dindigul, AWTI & AIT- Ethiopia, EIT-Eritrea, KSR-Tiruchengode and NIT-Coimbatore. Served as HOD Civil and also as one of the Academic Commission member of AWTI, Ethiopia.
Specilised in Concrete Technology and Computer Applications in Structural Engineering. He has published technical and research papers in the above fields. Formerly he was one of the approved Authorised Trainer by M/s. Research Engineers for STAAD Pro & Trained several students and professionals.
Fellow and/or Life-Member of the following Professional Bodies: IE (I), ASCE, ACCE(I), IOV, IGS, ICI and ISTE.
Also registered as: i) Chartered Engineer IE (I), ii) Approved Valuer (Immovable Property) and iii) Senior Professional Engineer (ECI).
He has received Leo Club Advisor Service Award, from Lions International. Also he has served recently for six months, as volunteer through VSO international organization as Private Sector Engagement Specialist at Uganda.
Also serving as one of the practitioner advisor to ASCE Student Chapters of Bannari-Amman Institute of Technology and Kalasa-lingam University. Served as the President of ASCE India Section Southern Region for the year 2015 & 2016
Currently, the President, ASCE India Section Southern Region. And as one of the Board of Director of the ASCE India Section.
