Thank you Mr Jie, for sharing a big concerning on developing methodologies in very scientific and technological way.
And yeah, the most success factor I think it influences both quality & effecioncy of each methodologies or systems, is the abscense of adopting the latest and smart technologies integrativly in side methodologies. Perhaps, AI. I completely supporting this steps.
By developing advanced AI tools and integrating them through collaboration with EWRI specialist engineers, I believe we can make a significant impact on improving both the quality and efficiency of water engineering systems.
Thank you again, and I really support you and appreciate this effort.

Subject: ASCE EWRI ML/AI Task Committee
The ASCE EWRI Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI) Applications in Water Engineering Task Committee was established in Fall 2024. Comprising members from consulting firms, academia, and water utilities, the committee is committed to advancing AI technologies in water engineering. Its primary mission is to promote the understanding and practical adoption of AI tools across diverse areas of water management. By fostering collaboration between AI developers and engineering practitioners, the committee aims to bridge the gap between innovation and implementation in the water sector. For more information, visit the AI Water Hub
We will have an on-site meeting at EWRI Congress 2025 in Anchorage, Alaska, see the date and time below. Room # will be available at the congress. We will also set up a Teams meeting in case you cannot attend it in person (contact Dr. Zhang by jzhang at carollo.com if you are interested in joining the meeting online).
Tuesday, May 20, 2025, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM Alaska Daylight Time (AKDT), ML/AI Applications in Water Engineering Committee Meeting
Main topics to discuss in this meeting:
- Developing educational resources and training programs to enhance water engineers' proficiency in utilizing AI technologies.
- Fostering dialogue and knowledge exchange between water industry experts, researchers, and practitioners to share insights and best practices.
- Promoting the development and validation of AI models tailored to address specific challenges and opportunities in water engineering.
