I am a Geotechnical Dam Safety Engineer at AECOM, the #1 ranked firm for Dams and Reservoirs. In my role, I focus on extending the design life of dams and reservoirs, enhancing client outcomes, and contributing to a more resilient future. With over a decade of experience in geotechnical engineering, I’ve been involved in every phase of dam projects—from feasibility studies and design to construction and maintenance—ensuring the safety and longevity of critical water infrastructure.
Technical Expertise and Current Responsibilities:
- Subsurface exploration, characterization, and laboratory testing of soil and rock materials.
- Seepage and slope stability analyses, and designing stabilization or seepage control measures.
- Dam rehabilitation and design.
- Probable Failure Mode Analyses (PFMA), and risk assessments.
Professional Engagement:
I am actively involved in professional organizations such as ASCE. I’ve held leadership roles, including Vice President, President, and Communications Chair of the Central PA Section, and served on the ASCE National Convention Technical Committee. Additionally, I contribute to the ASCE MOSAIC Committee, promoting inclusivity in civil engineering, as well as other initiatives like the Hershey Geotechnical Conference and the PA Infrastructure Report Card.
Passion for Mentorship:
Mentoring and outreach are core to my professional journey. Through ASCE Mentor Match and STEM events, I help guide the next generation of engineers, providing support and inspiration to early-career professionals and students in civil engineering.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, cooking, playing pickleball and kickball, and cheering for the Baltimore Orioles.
