Dr. Mohammed Kadhim Majeed
PhD Civil and Environmental Engineering | Director – Asaving Limited | Director - 360ProTek Training Center | Secretary & Treasurer – ASCE NZ Section
I am an accomplished civil and environmental engineer with over 25 years of experience across academia, industry, and research. My career spans roles as a senior lecturer, project manager, researcher, and academic consultant. I hold a PhD from the University of Waikato, New Zealand, with research that contributed to the $100 million NZ Battery Project addressing renewable energy storage solutions.
As the Directing Manager of Asaving Limited and 360ProTek Training Center, I lead the development of technical training programs and educational innovations, including online learning solutions in engineering, AI and digital animation. I previously served as a Senior Lecturer at the Manukau Institute of Technology, delivering over 20 professional engineering courses and mentoring more than 150 capstone projects at BEngTech and graduate diploma levels.
My work in academic quality assurance includes extensive experience in assessment design, external moderation, curriculum development, and academic governance. I also actively contribute to the engineering profession through my elected role as Secretary & Treasurer of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) – New Zealand Section.
In addition to my professional career, I am passionate about integrating AI and digital tools into engineering and education, sustainability in infrastructure, and cross-cultural educational engagement, particularly with Māori and Pasifika communities.
