I agree. Public hearings get brutal for traffic engineers. They have also become the personal favorite targets for many in the urban design community, and their ire may not be undeserved. I completely agree. Confidence is built by experience and highly subject to the Dunning Kruger effect: you think you do it well at the beginning and then figure out how badly it has been and develop skills to create a genuinely engaging presentation. I suppose I've been doing Assertion-evidence ...
