  • 1.  Engineered Sociocultural-Technical Project Outcomes

    Posted 08-19-2024 12:45 PM

You are invited to participate in this on-line study on the sociocultural-technical impacts that routinely frustrate achieving the contracted project scope, budget, and schedule in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) programs/projects.

Here the goal is to explore the opportunities, challenges, and educational needs in 2024 and beyond in our AEC industry.

"Improvement" asks "How can we do this better?"

"Re-Engineering" asks "Why do we still do that?"

    Cheers,

    Bill

    Hi Renn,

    Thanks for the questions.

    • Background:

    While engineering is taught  . . . mainly . . .in discipline-specific programs, e.g., CE, ME, EE,

in real-world projects the work is done by multidisciplinary groups of engineers.

    • Desired outcomes for this post:

Respondents share their experiences with what and how they have addressed the sociocultural-technical

needs in their work. Such experiences might include:

    a. Driving fear out  of the work environs

    b. Multicultural and multigenerational adjustments

    Cheers,

    Bill
