One common career for engineers, besides working in design offices or construction sites, is the project manager. On academic or technical questions, one can go to sites like StackExchange, as well as various codes and standards. Are there similar sites for project management? Obviously, tasks like scheduling software are very different from other tasks such as writing documentation, so perhaps it depends on the subject matter?

There are also a variety of certificate programs that can pave the way to a PMP. I would like to learn more about employer-provided training programs before going on my own, but some pointers might be useful, too.
