We've implemented many things to achieve the objectives in our new strategic plan. Here are five.
* Premiere of the Cities of the Future film (Advocate: Elevate the visibility of civil engineer's leadership role in society)
* Released a first-of-its-kind standard, ASCE/COS 73-23: Standard Practice for Sustainable Infrastructure, which provides guidance for infrastructure owners to develop and implement sustainable solutions throughout a project's entire life cycle (Innovate: Champion integration of sustainability and equity in infrastructure solutions)
* Debuted a new member benefit in January called the ASCE Member Yearly Article Pack, which gives members 5 Articles from the ASCE Library. (Magnify: Provide exceptional value and satisfaction throughout the member journey, from student to life membership.)
* Opened a Grants and Standards Office (Deliver: Continually improve programs and operations, recognizing strategic trade-offs, to support areas of increasing need.
* The board endorsed a recommendation from the Board Strategic Advisory Committee to consolidate several current member grades into a single grade of "member" to avoid confusion for those just joining the Society, streamline business operations, reduce costs, and be more inclusive of the entire infrastructure team. (Magnify: Attract new members from the broader infrastructure community)
