Bio

Researcher in long term changes of extreme weather phenomena and Project Lead for the Engineering for Climate Extremes Partnership (ECEP). ECEP facilitates greater collaboration between ground breaking atmospheric science research and decision-makers, to improve societal planning for weather and climate extremes by developing tools that support decision making. Corporate Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers since 2006.

Specialties: Climate change impact assessments from high impact weather including water resources, drought and flood risk management, hurricane damages, and heat waves; Extreme value analysis (EVA); atmopsheric drivers relating to extreme weather patterns; flood risk, hard and soft flood prevention and mitigation, sustainable drainage solutions (SUDS); project management.
