I have always been intrigued with Pole Line Structures and all of the various design considerations surrounding them. I made it my mission to be able to understand how to calculate structural loads and the sags & tensions of span attachments under various conditions. I found this insight very helpful throughout my career with Bell Canada and in my participation in the Canadian Standards Association for related standards.
