I thoroughly enjoy building, designing, and problem solving. Since my youth, I have always been fascinated and interested in how things were built and their selected design choice. I am always looking to learn more, further my education and myself. I plan on following a career path as a structural engineer. While at the University of Alabama, I came to enjoy structural steel design and our senior design course, which was challenging and complex.Outside of school, I really enjoy the outdoors. I like to go hiking, camping, rock climbing, white water rafting and anything thrilling. In my spare time I maintain a raised vegetable garden.I have passed the Fundamentals of Civil Engineering Exam, received my EIT certificate, and have been inducted into the Order of the Engineer.In the future, after a few years in the field, I plan on continuing my education to obtain a PE license and/or SE license. I also would like to return to school and get a MS or PHD in structural engineering.
