  • 1.  Floor diaphragm error in Staad Pro

    Can anyone help me solve the error in STAAD PRO?
    I'm facing these whenever I apply both seismic and wind load simultaneously. 
    Floor diaphragm error. I have attached my STAAD file here. I need the reason for the error and steps to solve the error.

    you are giving load without applying slab thickness.

    Seismic load cases need to be defined first in the list of load cases.

    Most likely you do not have a PERFORM ANALYSIS command after the load cases or combinations and before the FINISH as shown below....

    LOADING 2 WIND FROM LEFT

    MEMBER LOAD

    1 2 UNI GX 0.6 ; 8 TO 10 UNI Y -1.

    LOAD COMB 3 75 PERCENT DL LL WL

    1 0.75 2 0.75

    PERFORM ANALYSIS

    FINISH

    You may use the command editor to add the command before finish. You may add it using the GUI as well as explained next 

    In STAAD.Pro Connect Edition : Use the menu option Analysis and Design > Analysis Commands

    In STAAD.Pro v8i : Use the Analysis/Print page on the left inside the Modeling mode.
